Förberedelse
- Put oil and butter into the cast iron pan. Sauté chopped onions, sliced carrots, bay leaves and thyme. Cover the pan and braise for 10 minutes.
- After braising, stir in the flour, add the tomatoes and the hot beef stock. Finally, add the meat, which you cut into large pieces. Bring it all to a boil.
- Cover the stew and continue cooking in the oven.
